In an editorial bashing conservatives, U.S. Marines, and businessmen on Jan. 19, the Los Angeles Times admits that James Cameron’s “Avatar” has a radical leftist agenda. But, either out of disingenuousness, deception, or stupidity, they then contend, what does it matter?Small potatoes of course, but stipulating that Ted Baehr has a conservative point of view, why does Andrew Breibart publish Nazis?
“We’ll stipulate,” the Editorial Board of the Times wrote, “that ‘Avatar’ promotes a liberal worldview. The question is, why does anyone care?”

to be fair Subby, he does not mention Hitler until the 7th paragraph. Some of the paragraphs are one sentence long, admittedly.

Avatar's a shit movie but an excellent spectacle. If you could tolerate, say, Titanic, the story is clunkier but there's much more fancy stuff. Cameron can move a camera properly and edit.
Ironically, on the same day as the editorial in the Times, it was reported by the Associated Press that a Korean man had died after seeing “Avatar.”

On the subject of Avatar, I was wondering why the save-the-stem-cell people haven't worked themselves up about the dubious morality of creating an entire hybrid person simply so that someone else can use its body. The hybrids evidently have fully functional brains, yet no status as a person. Everyone in the film, and people in the audience, take it for granted that they're just meat.
Or perhaps the save-the-stem-cell people HAVE worked themselves up but I wasn't paying attention.
Or perhaps no-one cares because the hybrid bodies are adult when we meet them, rather than blastulas.
I'm thinking I see this as a challenge. I'm gonna write an essay bashing conservatives U.S. Marines, businessment, the Los Angeles Times, Avatar, James Cameron. Substance McGillacutty, Small potatoes, Ted Baehr and conservative Nazis.
And I'm gonna limit it to six hundred words.

Hey, Bouffant, that reminds me. I produced the Press CD for the release of the movie Titanic. It was a 2 disc set, and my prepress operator was from the Philipines and english was not his first language.
So the first Disc was titled "Titanic" as it was supposed to be, but the second disc was titled "Titantic", and since the layouts and fonts were the same nobody noticed until just before they HAD to ship. The date was set in stone, so we just crossed our fingers and shipped 'em to the media.
Man, Fox was PISSED. Obviously, they just hate diversity...
