It's no Zardoz.

Better pacing, funnier than Zardoz, comparable outfits.

I never saw it, but in the commercials it looked like it had giant extra-terrestrial creatures and monsters and a couple AT AT Walkers.

I mean, cinematic license, sure, but at some point you gotta either quit making shit up or else set the story on another planet...

Oh look. WV brings to our attention a new product, designed to protect Alan Dershowitz when he wets himself: derspads

It gets funnier the more you know about Sparta, which is rare for a stupid movie. It has nearly nothing to do with anything except wingnut fantasy writ large. And wingnuts battle monsters in their minds.

Very very metal.

Oh rare post Subby! I saw this crap recently on an indigestion plagued night. And yes it is a worthless waste of electrons.
Gerry Anderson puppets would have pissed all over it.

ZRM is banned.

Did 300 have a Man-o-War soundtrack? If not, why not?

There were times when some heavy guitars cropped up, and I thought IS THIS IT? but no, it never resolved into a Manowar song. I think my brain would have exploded with delight.

I thought it was largely a Norwegian Black metal film? although the homo-erotica is not well liked by the NBM world

When you think about it, glistening shaved Pecs are just oddly angular boobs with disappointing nipples.

Tonight we dine in Lane Bryant!

It was good, but I prefer Knox Herrington's earlier work

I actually saw this in the theatre (some friends I hadn't seen in a while wanted to see it). I was laughing so hard, I think I bothered some people in the audience.

This is the best review of the movie, maybe the best review of any movie.

In a way I feel kinda bad for missing it in the theatre: it must have been as awesome as that review, but I dunno that I'd want to smell the enjoyment.

EEP!

I like to think my heckling and stentorian laughter distracted the fapboys from their goal. I did my part to keep Clearview Cinemas clean.

For the record, I thought the Spartan rolls a "20" scene was the funniest.

I liked most of the speeches, and the crap about reason and freedom was crazy Victor Davis Hanson icing on the cake. "Laconic" is a word I thought about every once in a while.
