Stalker is a great movie and a testament to the movie-making possibilities that open up when your country becomes an environmental wasteland of derelict industries. I have watched it three times and stayed conscious once.

Wikipedia notes THE CURSE OF STALKER. Somewhat more plausible than other movie curses.

Furries being granted wishes? Does this movie end with the the classic wish that the other wishes never happened, because if it don't then I ain't ever watching it.

Parents, be careful about sending your kids to bed without eating anything. It could trigger dictatorial tendencies.

Little note fact of totalitarian history: It doesn't really show on that propaganda film but Hitler's trick at the Nuremberg Rally was to stare into all their yellow eyes without blinking once.

So yeah, what the hell, the Celtics had already won so I didn't have a whole lot to do anyway, so I read about Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Saddam, Milosevich, Bobby Mugabe.

Then I remembered the Condo next door is empty, so I annexed it. I opened disingenuous negotiations with my downstairs neighbor. Once he agreed not to contest the annexation, I invaded and occupied his condo too.

Now I'm looking east, at the vast strip mall of resources such as Szechuan food, Roast duck and Jackfruit. I'm convening a meeting with my generals...
