Pot Steams At Kettle

Here's our old pal Burt Prelutsky!
One of the great mysteries of life is how Democrats have managed to tar Republicans as America’s racists.
A promising start, then Robert Byrd et cetera. But on we go:
Therefore, one has to assume that the reason that over 90% of black Americans troop out to vote for any left-wing bozo, be he black or white, is that down deep they agree with patronizing liberals who regard them all as ignorant and shiftless.
Gee, no racism there.
If white Americans are racists, we’re certainly the most selective ones the world has ever known, inasmuch as our bigotry seems to be reserved solely for illegal aliens and black ingrates.
None there either. The mystery of how Democrats have managed to tar Republicans as America's racists must remain unsolved.

I surprised that Burt managed to miss "shakedown artists" and "welfare queens" in his post.

P.S. I have more posts in 2010 than Burt...at least I'm outworking somebody!

black ingrates.

It is shocking how ungrateful people remain for the all-expenses-paid sea cruises and new jobs(with room and board included!) we gave their ancestors.

Prelutsky: the only man TOO nasty for John Nolte.

Think on that for a moment.

Speaking of, apparently John has the ability to read Anderson Cooper's mind, based on the most recent BH post.

John hears the secrets that he keeps, when AC's talking in his sleep.

Do any of these people know how tone-deaf and hypocritical they sound? Also, why do they care so much about Black America rejecting them so overwhelmingly? If it's a matter of demographics, they should be more concerned about blowing it with Latinos.

As a regional party representing specific tribal outposts of intolerance, fear, privilege and hatred, the GOP, as currently structured has no realistic possibility of winning national office.

So one has to wonder. Is the Republican leadership attempting to craft an approach to governance (actually an approach to the exercise of political power, because they quite clearly have no interest in governance) predicated on controlling the legislature?

It seems that between the filibuster, the veto pen and the supreme court there is very little they could actually accomplish short of serial investigations/impeachment and utter gridlock. At some point they will have to find a way to compete for the White House, and yet they keep excommunicating and destroying their best options (Charlie Crist, for example).

As long as they try to compete in national elections using the same extreme rhetoric and disingenuous strategies they find effective in many state and regional contests, they have no chance of winning the Executive. Which means while they can bleed the US to death slowly by preventing effective solutions to serious problems, at least they can't blow it up all at once with tax policy and war mongering...

One might write one decent episode of M*A*S*H; but if one goes on to write several dozen columns of douchy right-wing claptrap they will remember one only as a right-wing douche.

Shorter Burt: How the swarthy types vote Democrat is beyond me but then again, most everything else is too.
