Rowland S. Howard

That Talk Talk song would be a grave insult at a bad time. It needed more spite.

I love that song. But I think the original also stands just fine on its own, with less spite.

I had the 12" mix of the original. But "life's what you make it" is an awfully conservative message.

Also easily debunked. Find anybody who ended up where they set off to go, or for that matter feels that their conscious choices had a larger effect on their ultimate destination than mere accidents, overlooked opportunities and the less than benign intervention of others...

Frankly, reading the lyrics, I'm not certain they had any message.

The lyrics predominantly consist of "Life's what you make it" and "It's alright" alternating.

wv is condi, which is triggering me.

Well, if all the lyrics said was "you only eat the brains you deserve" I think we'd agree there was a message there.

Hello.

Yes. May I help you?

I'm here to see the Professional.

He's not here.

That's ridiculous. I have an appointment.

I'm sorry. You'll have to reschedule. The Professional is not in the building.

But I talked to him on the phone just twenty minutes ago. Here was here then!

Yes he was.

Then what happened?

The Professional Left...
