For many years I was under the impression that the Beatles had a song called 'Henny Lane', who was in the narrators' eyes and ears, this being a reference to the contamination of tissue cultures by the HeLa cell line. Have I mentioned my parents' perverse sense of humour?
What I like about "One Tin Soldier" is where at the denouement, instead of "'Peace on Earth'...was all it said," you sing 'April Fools'...was all it said" instead. That certainly changes the thrust of the song a bit!

Obvious groaner jokes are way up there with newspaper headline puns in the annals of high comedy art. Also sarcasm.
Meat the Beetles.

I agree entirely with PKD, NOT!
I think the Who is awesome.
Yes!
Thw Who = four member band with two now dead people. It's eerie.
Three dead members of course, and another whose career is so dead he did Thomas the Train narration.
Hmmpph, I think you'll find that's Thomas the Tank Engine, actually. Hmmpph
I had forgotten about the real Paul dying just before Abbey Road.

The English language will have its way.
No way man, I've heard of the Beatles
Elitist.

Hey, man, don't knock it. That dude from the Mamas and the Papas was the narrator/harbor master (note spelling) in Theodore Tugboat.
I liked "Sgt Piper's" by The Betels.
AND NOTHING IS BETTER THAN PUNS, BUB.
The Betels.
Those guys were NUTS.
Ooops!
In a similar (& shorter) vein (jugular).

In my third grade class in music we were allowed to belt out Maxwell's Silver Hammer. That was nice.
But now that I think of it we also had to do One Tin Soldier...
Know what? Billy Jack can line up and bite my grenade sump.
I like that One Tin Soldier song.
I thought we were supposed to get behind the ones who got it right.
Joe Klein HATES that song...
Capcha has an idea for a new series about muslim clerics in the fifties. He suggests we call it immen...

Tin Soldier- Stiff Little Fingers Is the only one I know. I luvs it.
Post now Cher-enabled.
"Alternative Ulster" is one of the first songs I ever played with anyone.
One is hazarding a guess but perhaps it did not have a lot of chords in it?
Well, it's more complicated than the average Ramones song...
Remember the movie "Amadeus"?
"What is wrong with this tune is that it has too many notes in it"
Something the Ramones never had problems with, bless.
Alright, who the hell around here requested Cher?
The House has been infiltrated by agitators!!
Like it matters who does One Tin Soldier unless it's Killdozer.
