One-Trick Phony

Mr. Edroso zings:
Former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik, indicted in May by federal authorities for making false statements to the Bush White House when he was being vetted for Secretary of Homeland Security, has suffered a great setback: his defense team is prohibited from mentioning 9/11 during the trial.

[...]

The ruling effectively prohibits the testimony of Mayor Giuliani, for reasons noted by Joe Biden.

This case concerns two towering assumptions, which the defense will show come crashing down upon examination.

It's eerily like a twin study.

If you try to open keriklegaltrust.com, the web address for Kerik's legal defense fund, you get "SITE DOWN." But Google cache still knows how to find a hero, even in all the digital smoke and rubble.

The prosecution plain crashed and burned.

The real TERROR is that this court has HIJACKED the proceedings and with the razor sharp edge of a BOX CUTTER they have MURDERED the STEWARDESS of justice and brought the entire edifice TUMBLING DOWN in a travesty of such a proportion one can only reach for one's phone and dial NINE ELEVEN!!!

Here in New York, the centre of world trade, the prosecution plans to leave a smoking hole in the borough of justice.

"The world witnessed his stoic leadership during and after the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11 and today he is seen as an outspoken patriot for our government in the fight against global terror and enemies against the United States. But now, his heroic career and service to our country continues to be overshadowed by this investigation and allegations that must be put to rest."

They could pay Dreyfuss to reenact the "CALL 911!" scene from Down and Out in Beverly Hills.

You would have to have re-enactments with unknown actors where they could only talk in questions or something.
"Is this town at the mercy of terrorists and hoodlums?"
"Who do you think could save us?"
"Would it matter if that person broke the rules a little, if the end result is good for the town?"

Capcha is Subby, Now that is influence

Mmm, yeah, those could be used at jury selection.

Also: defense lawyer A is questioning a juror, defense lawyer B pops a paper bag behind the juror's head. Bernard Kerik tackles lawyer B.
