Free At Last

Congratulations to Muntazer al-Zaidi, one of the few sane people who managed to get a point across to George W. Bush.

The Guardian has a nice piece up, so we can set the fact that they're a British paper aside for a moment.

That dood is my freakin hero. I keep meaning to go down to the Seven Nation Army and picking up a bunch of second-hand shoes just for throwing at peeps I don't like.

I'm making a note on RTM right now...

I may try to send him a letter and $5. If the $5 is stolen in the near-useless Iraqi postal system I imagine it'll be put to good use anyhow.

Don't sweat it. I've read that local and regional admirers have built him a new house, are giving him a job and a new car.

Hell, he's an economy unto himself.

And I'm happy for every bit of it...

But come on, TWO throws and two misses? Choke city. Might as well be the Vikings in the Super Bowl.

I'm not sure GWB got the point without a lump on his noggin.

Thanks to George Bush. Freedom is on the March.

Or "attorney says," I should say. Either way, only by the grace of Bush's benevolent intervention.

Give Bush credit, he sort of ducked one of the shoes.

This inaccurate hurling is, of course, the result of non-Americans whose bizarre (no hands) sport is a refutation of millions of yrs. of evolution. Savages.

Now excuse me, I must visit the toilt.

Well, it was then we could have composed the Bush-dodging-the-shoe editorial cartoon, but we chose to let the internet do it.

Letting others do it is invariably the wisest choice.
