Problem Solved!

Some follow-up:
The spate of suicides made headlines around the world. Last May, seven young Chinese workers producing Apple iPads for consumers across the globe took their own lives, prompting an investigation into working conditions at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, southern China.

You gotta admire their straightforward analysis of the problem and the simple, cost-effective correctives they applied.

Talk about root-cause analysis at it's most effective!

Brilliant!

Mikey is right.

Too many suicides? Put up some emm-effin' nets! And then punish the fvckers when they get caught in same.

If we had known back in the 50s and 60s that the Communist countries of East Asia would become a cheap labor pool for corporations that manufacture American consumer goods, would we have bothered with the Cold War at all?

Ah, but the cold war (and the hot war in South-East Asia) was necessary to hold back their economies; without it their labour costs might be no better than those of the US by now.
