Any Publicity is Good Publicity

What is the root word of "dignitary" anyhow?
The Vatican yesterday said it had "nothing to hide" after it emerged that Zimbabwe's president Robert Mugabe, widely condemned over human rights abuses, would be among the dignitaries attending Sunday's beatification of Pope John Paul II.

Excuse me, but if you are a Canadian, you are not to be interested in anything non-Canadian. Espcially not the huge pile of bastards to your immediate south. (I read this somewhere today.)

It would seem as if the only bad publicity here will be for the Vatican.

Myles is an absurd character. I gather from other comments that he's in his twenties, but he writes like a deranged pipe-smoking uncle. It'd be fun to see his site.

I imagine Mugabe shares the Pope's hatred of gays and independent women.

A notably belligerent 17th century pope, Innocent XI, will be displaced to make room for him[JP2].

I guess 'rest in peace' isn't a Catholic phrase.
