Wisconsin Meth Trip

Teach your children well:
More than a dozen Wisconsin child-care centers that reaped millions of dollars in state subsidies have had close ties to drug-dealing operations, including big-time crime bosses, a Journal Sentinel investigation has found.

The newspaper identified 16 child-care centers with recent connections to drug operations, and the number is likely much higher. Those 16 alone have collected more than $8.5 million in public subsidies since 2006.

Records show many of those centers have been used to stash and transport drugs, launder dirty cash and provide fake employment for criminals - at taxpayers' expense.
The article appears written more to complain about government waste than to worry about guns getting stuck in an eight-year-old's face, but nevertheless, among other things, a gun was stuck in an eight-year-old's face.

Well, it certainly seems that a day care center might be a great place to launder dirty cash, or anything else you might want to launder.

I mean, who's gonna go poking around in all those dirty diapers?

Did you want to know about Ali? Capcha suggests alisbio

Manufacturing would be good too. Who's gonna worry about funny smells at a day care?

I have funny stories about this. well, not so funny. More like crying.

Anyways, were there any brains being eaten? No. Just your garden variety drug dealing and fraud.

From what I hear, it's all the rage on wall street. So Wisconsin is just trying to follow the lead of teh Masters of The Universe.

Although the Wisconsin oversight agency is clearly not doing their job. Without knowing the full story (and do not rely on the Urinal-Sentinel to give anything even APPROACHING the full story) I would guess Tommy Thompson cut the budget back in the day, and the Republican Lege has managed to avoid restoring it, so whatever oversight there is, is under-budgeted and stretched thin like a goatskin drum.
