Kirby's imagination, or neuroses or whatever, has been outstripped by mere photography.

This one seemed pretty comic-bookish. I believe that god is John Byrnes, but it's the Fantastic Four and I guess whoever drew for Marvel at the time was supposed to ape Kirby anyway.
Bought some crappy old Wonder Woman comic for the lovely daughter. DC house style was dull dull dull compared to Marvel.

Eta Carinae easily holds the record for being the background image on at least one of my computers for the most days over the last twenty years.

Further examination probably would've revealed that to be a Kirby impression, but I'm neither expert nor motivated. Surface impressions are the best.
My fave part of Marvel style was gray as the standard colour for Negroes. Can't remember if DC or Marvel was the no drawing of male nipples co.
