Substance McGravitas said...: Okay, process: fire up The GIMP, make an image on a white background. Duplicate that layer. Draw something. Duplicate the untouched background layer, drag it to the top of the layer list, make it transparent so you can draw a slightly different picture over top. Duplicate background, make it transparent again, et cetera. Make sure you set all the transparency levels back again, save as GIF: you'll get a bunch of questions about whether or not to save it as an animation. Do the right thing.

Open up the GIF again - there must be a better way to do it than this - and it'll show you the timing on each layer. Double-click and play with the milliseconds, hit enter to save altered timings.; March 22, 2010 at 8:27 PM
