Although Sean Penn has the reputation of being a fine actor, I’ve never shared that opinion and regard his acting as overrated. His early performance in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” as stoner Jeff Spicoli is regarded fondly by those with sophomoric comedic taste but my taste prefers more subtlety.I'll bet it does, Alicia Colon, I'll bet it does.

I always thought that the crazy sonofabitch with the M60 and the spittle at the end of "Taps" was Penn. Turns out it was Tom Cruise. That sucks. 'Cause I always thought that the whole falling in love with war behind the savage bark of an M60 was an important message, one that had a kind of raw honesty that you don't often see in film.
I guess none of that changes even though it was Tom Cruise and not Sean Penn, but it sure feels different. How bout that?
I'm happy to see Fast Times at Ridgemont High (IF that is its real name) roll.
Funny thing, I've been dealing with a surveyor named Mr. Hand.
And with that disclosure, I will have to cease the disclosuring.
