The Usual Buzz

Shorter Fouad Ajami:
Third World French political protest liberalism insurrection challenge ObamaCare political class media elite protest usurpation tumult community organizer liberalism power script et cetera.
For all the crap about teleprompters and scripts, people writing for the Wall Street Journal sure do hit certain notes a lot. "Third World" x 4.

Really the shorter is just OBAMA IS NO GOOD but the icing is pretty much the cake here: somehow the Wall Street Journal apparently dictates that you must produce sentences to add slurs to instead of a big picture of Obama with NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER all over it. What is this odd insistence on articles instead of bathroom scrawlings? Can't be shame.

From your doubtless accurate shorter, I get the impression that Fouad Ajami (whom I often confuse w/ Fuad Ramses) is not focusing at all on his specialty, which, I believe, is apportioning the Middle-East among the Christians & Jews, who belong there atop their oil. Here's a clue, Fu: We don't need your advice on domestic Yankee affairs, 'specially since your Middle-Eastern ideas are crap.

Having decided that life is too short to read drool I won't be publicly mocking, you won't get me to click there to see if I'm right or not. (Although I am, of course.)

The specific things he says are completely uninteresting, so it's reasonable to take a pass from that angle.

What the article reminds me of is the chapter in If on a winter's night a traveller in which a character needs not read a book but just runs it through a computer that counts words: words appearing with a certain frequency constitute the meaning of the book.

Seems like most of these idiots all say essentially the same thing:

"Think of something bad. X is bad, right? Of course it is. Liberals do X."

They don't have to say what's bad about X, or even why they THINK it's bad. They don't have to say who "liberals" are. They are just some nebulous, unspecified evil subset of america, and they want to destroy freedom. Oh, but they don't have to say what they mean by freedom, except that it's good, so it's really the opposite of X. And they don't have to provide any examples of liberals actually DOING X. Just saying they do it and just saying it's bad is enough. The fact that anybody bothers to listen to this shit is beyond me.

I don't think many read this shit and take it seriously. But the people who do: what are they thinking?

"Great, obvious lies in the service of our team!"

"Duh, I never knew that!"

"THIS FITS WITH THE PLUTONIAN CONSPIRACY GABBLE BOONK"
