As long as it's silly fun. I tend not to approve of any other sort of fun.

And now I don't feel so bad about liking songs from commercials.

OK, ok, ok...w/v is "oryliest." Which I think HAS to somehow be related to one of your favorites--although not in that sick mikey sort of way--Orly.

One of the things about not paying any attention to the prevailing culture is that I find things I enjoy without the baggage of whatever's supposed to be cool. In this case I heard one of a whole bunch of files that caught my ear. (And the lovely daughter likes nonsense syllables, so EE EE EE EE EE EE EE EE is ideal.)

Maybe these two already killed themselves and now they're REALLY cool.

LOL! I hope not!

And I should tell you that I've given up feeling guilty about liking stuff from commercials, because I find that no matter when I discover something, it may be commercial-bound. Plus...and here's a dirty little secret...I often Google commercials after I watch them so I can grab the song name. SOMEBODY making commercials these days has good taste in music. It's kinda depressing.

Oh, I've done that. If I like it I like it.

An acquaintance was one of the people pushing content at the iTunes store and she'd push things at Apple for commercials.

Wow!

w/v appropriately says "pophorc." You never know when someone is gonna horc up some pop.

*whispers* Also, I never got that Ann Peebles song. Because, let's face it, I knew I was going to screw that process up. *tugs sleeve*

Wanting to ask you this for ages but kept forgetting to--where did you get that funky, sped up version of "Let Me Have It All?" I must have eet.

I can't hate this... she looks like she could be Debbie Harry's daughter.

I can't be arsed to keep up with what's cool. Really, just can't get interested. Iffen I like it, well that's that.
Luckily things things I like are good :)
I have had exposure to commercial radio off and on lately and it is the aural equivalent of pre-chewed rice crackers.

I love "Shiny Happy People," "Last Train to Clarksville," and "Sugar, Sugar" and I don't care who I tell. Bubblegum makes me happy.

You should send me an email: I think I have an old address.
