Bye Bob

Bob was a hunter and a fine gentleman. This was an excellent tribute meal to him.

I like the sound of the maple Bourbon reduction.
It is a fine menu to remember a hunter by.

I thought much the same the first time this appeared. Yum.

Just finished some maple bacon; now wondering if beaver tastes like chicken or pork.

In my experience, california salt marsh ducks taste noticably fishy, while inland ducks in the rice ponds north of sacramento are sweeter and richer.

Based on that rather direct observation, I'm going to take the position that beavers taste like fish...

This looks like a wedding menu... I've never seen a memorial with printed menus like this.

Now I have a hankering for game, and I just got back from Moose Central.

What is the Catholic position?* Do beavers count as fish for purposes of Lent, like capybara?

* Another straight line.

I believe they do, that's why they are popular Friday night fare.
