What We Talk About When We Talk About MOV

The Museum of Vancouver has a Tobias Wong show:

There are many ways to extract money from rich people, I guess, and if you get to mock them in a pretty way while doing it you have a career.

Other things:

Seeing only the title in my blahgroll I thought this post was going to be about Quicktime files.

Also: the "Permanent Waving" neon sign is calling out for an animation.

It'd be nice if blooger could just let you block nonny, without requiring any sort of moderation or impossible to read thinghy, wouldn't it?

Is that what happens when you turn the "Anonymous" off in the comment settings?

"Permanent Waving"

The women of the 50s had arm-breaking responsibilities.

Weird, I thought you could disable anon and still leave everything else the same?

I turned off the capcha for mine and require moderation only for comments on posts older than 2 weeks -- that seems to be where the spam shows up mostly. YMMV, etc.

I'm not bugged enough yet to give up on the job of helping Google identify spammers. They do a pretty good job.

Wowee. Those cups and saucers are stunning and so is the glass (?) puzzle.

The puzzle's a mirror, and it's much more beautiful than my photo suggests. Most of the things he did were clever and lovely.

From the main blogger page, where you can click stuff like "Posts", "Stats" and "Settings" from the column on the left, one of the choices is "Comments". It brings up a list of the latest comments on any posts in the blog, and one of the options on each of them is "Spam". It takes five seconds to delete all the spam comments from the night before.

If it did that, it would be Wordpress.

That's my policy. Except it might be 3 weeks.

Thought it was a mirror, but I didn't want to ask.

Me too, off w/ the Word Verif., moderation after two wks., but it's a pain just deleting them from the gmail inbox. Also, haven't cleaned out the Bugger spam trap since 12/28, & there are 390 of 'em in there.

I still report entities w/ Google acc'ts. to Google as spammers, but don't get that many.

Hmmm ... can't turn off A. Non w/o cutting off the unregistered. Oh well. Free speech isn't free, but I didn't expect it to be such a pain on my part.
