Theology

Cal Thomas:
If laws were enough to deter criminal behavior prisons would be empty.

The latest effort to "control" guns in America is as likely to deter someone intent on breaking the law as outlawing lust would affect one's libido. What's in a heart can't be controlled by restricting what's in a hand.
It's also pretty hard to control what's in someone's stomach.

On the other hand if James Woods didn't have a gun to stick in his guts in the first place fictional characters would be alive now.

Are these people simply entirely unfamiliar with examples such as the UK? Without guns, the murder rate ALWAYS plummets...

You just don't get it do you? They aren't going to use their semi-automatic guns to kill as many people as they can in as short a time as possible. It's not about guns, it's about them. Everything is about them.

They're the elect, and would never end up in jail.

Do you think my keys are in there too?

So we'll never be free of these horrible projectile valve crimes. ALAS.

Also, what's up with his "oh, you should totally require women to do such and such before they're maybe allowed to get an abortion" stance? Can't change hearts with laws, doncha know!

Restricting the number of guns in hands seems to reduce the number of bullets in hearts.

The lead would get in there in some other way.

And not just a single bullet, either, there'd be totally clips in the heart.

Nothing I can say.

And now I'm hearing that song being sung by Cal Thomas. Which is strange, because I would have thought the sound of my vomiting enough to mute it, at least somewhat.

I actually think he's venting his spleen.

OT, but McArdle is sticking her nose up north there; thought you should know.

That's a pretty notorious site.

While the prices are ridiculous here, it's hard to see a giant market-crash in the offing. We're taking in tons of immigrants, some of whom are rich enough to sustain the craziness. In Canada Vancouver is the third-best city (IMO) but it has the best weather and best surroundings and very large communities of Chinese, Filipinos, Indians, Iranians and who knows what the hell else. If you're from almost all of these places you'd rather be here.

If the site focused on market values in Regina I'd be fearful.

Substance McGravitas said...

Gee, Regina seems due for a crash...

HOW IS CAL THOMAS EVEN STILL ALIVE??!?!?!?
