'Tis the Season

Dispatches was a fine and now-cancelled radio show featuring documentaries from around the world. Listen to this creepy piece about the fetishization of corpses that float down a river in Colombia.

The site's going to go away, but there's plenty of material to listen to if you want to discover that it's not just your neighbours who are out of their minds.

Beez for Thundra in this one.

Bees!

I like them more when they don't sting, though.

Everyone safe where you are?

Did I sleep through another earthquake?

Ah. Checking the news, yes I did.

Tsunami warning just an advisory now.

Asleep, or so passed out (& well before midnight on a Sat.) you couldn't feel it?

Is an intervention called for?

It was pretty far to the north, where they're going to build that safe and convenient pipeline.

Aftershocks ongoing, can't be felt here. The last major one that happened here I was in my office and completely missed it, even though other people were going WHOA.

I am THAT stable and grounded, ladies.

I should talk, there was a 3.9 maybe 25-30 km. north at 0830ish today which didn't stop me from sawing wood.

Looks like N_B may be in more trouble (or in his parental units' pad) than we Ring o' Fire residents.
