Fix the News Please

As I toodle around Washington and Oregon - pilgrimage to Walla Walla for the lovely daughter - I notice that Fox News is wall-to-wall debt ceiling while CNN relieves that with Octomom/Anthony developments.

When the propaganda channel has a higher news-to-noise ratio than the competition I expect the propaganda channel to get more viewers.

The "wall-to-wall debt ceiling" is propaganda, S_McG.

Our Democratic party is getting together with the party that created all our fiscal problems by screwing the country over.

So they need cover. CRISIS!

Oregon, eh? You should track down Pupienus Maximus and ask him if he'll cook for you.

Oooooh, you better have some pix of W-Two-Time 99362 (esp. Whiteman [sic] College) so I may wallow in more nostalgia.

Still remember KWCW's 'phone # (JA 9-5106). Give 'em a call & make a request.

It is, after all, "the place so nice they named it twice."

That violates Barnum's Law.

Well yeah, but it's news. And clearly the Republicans are trying their best to be nuts. If you want to find out how crazy they are, the best option really is Fox.

Fun hearing Rush complain that people were trying to get behind the Boner plan. AND NO IT IS NOT CHILD ABUSE TO LISTEN TO THAT.

Lessee, went to Pioneer Park, Fort Walla Walla (which, for a town that small, was pretty remarkable), Iceberg for malts and shakes (sucked), wandered Main Street...all in all a nicely kept little town. Although the recent news is that the city council has "finally" gotten rid of "restrictive" zoning so maybe Walla Walla will destroy itself soon.

Is Walla Walla a sister town with Wagga Wagga? And if not, why not not?

Maori is pretty much made for the book at the link. Double Trouble is just about saying as many similar-sounding double-word combinations as possible.

Wiradjuri at first glance looks pretty close to that.

Forgot the Iceberg. Whitties used to go there Sunday nights when there was no food service. No recall of the food quality then, but I was even less concerned about crap like that than I am now.

Wiradjuri duplication.

I would say more but I have contracted beri-beri, and must away to Baden-Baden for the cure-cure.

I have literal question!

Is it upsidedowny, or upsidedownie?

Walla Walla? Funny rhyming words? Higgelty Piggelty?I hope Little McGravitas has experienced it. It's childhood favorite of mine, along with this.Although, I don't know...it may be too babyish for the Little M. Anyway, I love it.

I have always spelt hippie "ie," not "y."
