Laugh Attack

Funnywoman Julia Gorin:
Ever notice how as the threat of global terrorism reaches a crescendo, so apparently does the threat of global climate change?
No.

Suffer:

Suffer more:

The audio is charmingly out of sync on that last one. I'm thinking of snagging the video, fixing it, and reposting it to YouTube because the participants should never ever live it down.

What scares me is the thought that Julia Gorin could mate with Steven Crowder.

And their offspring will simultaneously suck all the humor off the planet while singing Creed songs.

I was thinking of editing all out all the parts of the video where she isn't laughing at her own routine.

And Julia Gorin is who again?

Righteous Bubba said...

The surprising answer:
Julia Gorin is among the most recognized names in conservative comedy. She was profiled in the book South Park Conservatives, and her humor was featured in "Penthouse" magazine, NY Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and others. Julia's are among the "1,500 Best Jokes Ever Told" in Penguin Group's Complete Idiot's Guide to Jokes. She has appeared on Bill Maher’s "Politically Incorrect," as well as on "Fuse TV," "Hannity & Colmes," "Fox 'n Friends," plus network news programs and is a frequent guest on various talk radio shows. Her book Clintonisms came out in 2008, and her opinion columns and essays have appeared in NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, NY Post, Washington Times, NY Observer and others.

Ah.. that explains it. Illustration of the overlap between conservatives and comedy:

After I read that I did a search on the NYTimes site and I'll be damned if she didn't have a piece of fluff in there.

Although it was wisely removed from YouTube there is still some America Show out there on the internet, and that's one of the most painful things ever filmed.

She's recycling. I guess that's a step in the right direction.

"It's a peculiar thing that as the threat of global terrorism reaches a crescendo, so apparently does the threat of global warming - at least that's what some would have us believe."

So is it logic or humor that dictates that the environmental threat is the one that's overblown?

Righteous Bubba said...

Ever notice how when you start killing people whiners start complaining about human rights?

Righteous Bubba said...

She's recycling.

Big Hollywood takes after Hollywood in that sense I guess...

Her book Clintonisms

I'm guessing this is a five-years-past-shelf-life spoof of "Bushisms."

Those conservative comedians: always so ahead of the curve!

I used to have a copy of Ronald Reagan's Reign of Error.

Just wondering if the zombies among us might have taught Gorin her act. I mean it is beyond dying on stage. The audience of family members sounds not so much a mused as b mused.

Thanks for the basin capcha

Updated the post a bit.

Episode Two!

Apparently Google video search is not all it's cracked up to be.

Another Kiwi said...

Those are startlingly bad. The out of sync audio is the best part of the first episode whilst episode two killed millions of brain cells in the 2 seconds that I watched. Was it used at Gitmo? I would rather have the sex-crazed German Shepherds.

Anyone would think you were writing to Penthouse.

Righteous Bubba said...

Dear Penthouse:

I never thought this would happen to me but I have acquired $12 million in diamonds from the widow of Sierra Leone's former armed forces general and for help arranging for their transfer I am prepared to let you have 20% of that amount. 25% if you throw in the twins.

Hey now, You can't blame Gorin on us zombies, kiwi.

Keep it up and I'll blame you for Paul Hogan.

Gentlepersons, please! Cheap Australian jibes are unbecoming. Our equivalences are the comedic stylings of Russell Crowe and the road between two South Island towns, the Clinton Gore highway.

Didja hear about the Australian who got off the bus halfway between Perth and Canberra?
