There's a little cheating; this is about an hour and a half north of the city, but pretty wimpy as hiking trails go. Yes it is beautiful, and I am wasted and currently feeling pretty grateful for the environment. Remind me to do this shit more often.
Since I am wasted should I mention again that I feel lucky? Sat by the pond that Thundra identified, drank, ate cheese and pepperoni and oranges and goldfish and poppyseed roll.
Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteI love this one.
What camera do you use?
~
Hmm, lessee... Canon Powershot SD700 IS Digital Elph.
ReplyDeleteI confess to messing with the top photo, which I overexposed a whole bunch of times without cluing in.
Pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat camera model seems to be seven years old. Jeebus time flies.
ReplyDeleteLooks to be about the same age as my Canon A710. I'll get another G15 when I can...much easier to get closeups of bug faces (etc.) with that.

Jeezus Frijoles, what a gorgeous neighborhood. If you can walk to that, you don't need anti-depressants. So send them south...

ReplyDeleteOoooh, I am officially & seriously envious.
ReplyDeleteNot of Panters (actual typo, ha ha) mind you.
Really nice scenery! Good to know you've gotten your "beauty quotient" in for the day.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about us down here freezing and getting floods up the wazoo.
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures Mr McGravitas
Surely those floods were special effects. Doesn't Peter Jackson own the media?
ReplyDeleteRice Lake?
ReplyDeleteNo, Brandywine Falls area, the sissiest of hikes but the pond's a good spot for a picnic.
