Cities With Inviting Names

I'm going to be gone for a couple of weeks, by which time the RSS troubles might be gone. If you want to post stuff here, drop me a line quick.

  1. What RSS troubles you having? HoS shows up in my feed, enabling me to be first. (That & the non-active lifestyle.)

Hope the two wks. away will be & are for FUN!!

  2. I will accept no substitute for the authentic Substance McG.
In your absence we will just have to console ourselves by Zardozing all the recent comment threads.

  3. As my esteemed colleagues note, we shall accept no ersatz McGravitas with animated ponies and such.
Have a good time in the woods or whatever.

  4. I'm checking through all my blog keys. Surprised I am to find I do not have the passwords to HoS as yet.

perhaps if you gave mikey the keys he would waste... umm, SPEND less time over at FDL?

  5. For some reason those names have no effect on me. It is a mystery. However, Brest-on-the-Bug: quite a feature.

  6. Will you be spending the next two weeks in Brest on the Bug? Or are you just going to Uranus?

  7. They drink vodka there (in Menachem Beigin's hometown!), no? Yes, like mikey you are obliged to check your keys.

  8. Uh oh. Does Sailor Jerry make vodka? This could be a bit of a crisis...

  9. Begin the Beigin.

In your absence I'd be happy to sit at my keyboard alternating between writer's block and feelings of inadequacy, "oh, nobody's going to think this is funny, ctrl-a-ctrl-x." Would that be helpful? Or I could put up a bunch of videos of Jerry pwning that stupid cat Tom, if that's his real name. The Thunder guy may'n't be back then but I'm just brainstorming here.

  10. Or I could put up a bunch of videos of Jerry pwning that stupid cat Tom

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THIS!

  11. I nominate lawnguylander for guest blogger at the House of Substance while its proprietor is away at Brest sans Litovsk.

  12. Seconded as long as the official title Guest Brest Blogger is attached

  13. Brest-on-the-Bug

    Little-known Ramones single.

At least try him out with a best Brest guest test.

  15. His test: Attempt to show that rating for Tom is something a person would admit to in polite society!111!

    P.S. u mad?

  16. Lawnguylander is Don Surber, don't you people even look at the pictures?

  17. This is just silly. The answer is obvious. While Substance is traveling to Uranus to research the breasts of bugs, why shouldn't Righteous Bubba fill in as the blogger of record?

    See?

It's all pretty easy when you beat the fuck out of Occam and steal his razor....

  18. I believe South Dildo, of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, would also qualify as "inviting."

Or possibly the accompanying Dildo Cove.

  19. Bugs-on-the-breast, however, should NOT be goggled by Jennifer.

  20. don't you people even look at the pictures?

LGL's appearance is merely a side-effect of the Mollycule theory. The transfer of agitated mollycules from one to the other is the reason you should not bang your head against the same keyboard you type on.

  21. For some reason those names have no effect on me.

You know, the "Brest" part by itself really didn't occur to me as an angle to this screenshot. There is some mental cleavage here.
