The New iTunes Sucks

Feature removal, specifically, iTunes DJ (the shuffle play I so love) is kind of a sucky way to go about "upgrades".

Lotsa confused folks in the forums at Apple about iTunes 11.  I'm not downloading.

Hey, Blogger is putting double-spaces in sentences in the "Compose" screen. Gotta watch that.

Have a video.

  1. I've fallen head over heels in love with Google Music. OK, Google Play, in the way they all love to conflate their player app with their music store. If there was an iTunes for Linux I'd consider it, but in the meantime I can't imagine what I'd want to do that GMusic can't doodly-do...

  2. There must be something out there that does what I want, so I'll do some poking around.

  3. Slate's tech weasel was bemoaning the latest version as well.

I don't always listen to music, but when I do I just pick crap from YouTube or CDs from the friend & sexual assoc.'s collection I've ripped to Windows Media Player.

    Old skool, baby-bee!!

Haven't typed anything longer than a sentence for a while, so haven't noticed any spacing problems.

  4. Thanks for the warning. I hadn't even paid Much attention to iTunes DJ before. Woo-hoo! This is fun.

There's a way in which iTunes DJ is Good For Me like taking my medicine: if I chose everything I really would stick to, say, one Melvins song for a few hours. Instead I get varied stuff served up to me, like Mikey's Google Play.

  6. I downloaded because I never met an upgrade I could resist. I rarely get more than 5 minutes to listen to music anyway. *shrug*

You say that as if it is a bad thing.
