I have a tattoo which is made up of the sheet music to my favourite Boyzone song - Isn't It A Wonder? - around my right ankle. People think I'm mad, but I point out that if I want to I can tell them it's Bach or the Rolling Stones instead of the actual truth.
And it would *still* be a fugly tattoo.
ReplyDeleteNaughty tatooist who put the sheet music to "The Good Ship Venus" on the ankle.
ReplyDeleteWhere would be the right place to tattoo the Crab Canon? AFAF.
ReplyDeleteI find the concept of tattoos silly.
ReplyDeleteUnless you get one made from magic marker.

I have a tattoo which is made up of the sheet music,,,
ReplyDeleteHow does this work? Do you grind up the paper and make ink out of it, or do you just insert the sheets subcutaneously?
People think I'm mad, but I point out that if I want to I can tell them it's Bach or the Rolling Stones instead of the actual truth.
ReplyDeleteBecause NO ONE can read music.
Better.
Unless you get one made from magic marker.
ReplyDeleteMy extensive tattoos are all in invisible ink so they will only show up in the crematorium.
This is why we in the office have the special machine that takes pictures in all sorts of different wavelengths.
ReplyDeletePlease place your arm in the machine. See your doctor once the skin cancer develops, but in the meantime ENJOY the partial tan.
I have a regrettable tattoo on my forehead.
ReplyDeleteEnticing!

ReplyDeleteThis is not so easy with Stockhausen score.
There a couple Varese scores that would also be quite nice if one were the type who enjoyed hypodermic ink injections, or the post-facto visual score somebody did for Artikulation. Or, best idea EVER: soundwave of someone misprouncing ama-ar-gi... FOR FREEDOM!
ReplyDeleteGlenn Branca had a swastika score...
ReplyDeleteBecause NO ONE can read music.
ReplyDeleteIn her defense, NO ONE can both read music AND recognize that it's from a Boyzone song.
Lots of musical tattoo ideas here.
ReplyDeleteA commenter at that link mentions Anthony Braxton, who's done some pretty awesome notation. There's a pic at that very blog somewhere.
ReplyDeleteFor tigris: Humour in Cuneiform.
