The Wages of Sin

A ghoul from the senate called Ted
Liked to make little fetuses dead
So he took out his pen
Wrote a law up and then
Had a long career and died a very popular man.

When they put Teddy into the ground
They shouted "he's still an old hound"
Though he only wanted a peck, see
He killed Mary Jo Kopechne
Hide your daughters if his ghost comes around

There once was a lady named Margot
Who tried but did not very far got
When taking a meal
Of some Frenchified veal
With a big steaming pile of escargot.

There once was a lady named Margot
who loved to eat breaded escargot
she thought she would die
when they made it with rye
then discovered the presence of ergot.

It's pronounced Eddy?
